Kotler and Keller say that Advertising is any praid form of non-personal presentation and promotion of ideas, goods, or service by an identified sponsor.
Jefkins says that Advertising is a persuasive marketing message to sell particular goods and services with competitive price for potential buyers.
Functions
Kotler and Keller classifies advertising based on its function and they are:
1. Informative aims to create brand awareness and knowledge of new products or new features of existing products.
2. Persuasive advertising aim to create liking, preference, conviction and purchase of a product or service.
3. Reminder advertising aims to stimulate repeat purchase of products and services
4. Reinforcements advertising aims to convince current purchasers that they made the right choice.
